BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION

Black history is a living legacy of resilience, triumph, and unwavering strength. It tells the story of people who, despite oppression and injustice, stood firm in their identity, values, and dignity.

This October, Lewisham Park residents joined communities across the UK to honour the legends past and present whose sacrifices and achievements continue to shape our world.

The celebration brought together people of all ages: elders who carry the wisdom of generations, children full of promise, and men and women united in pride. The atmosphere was rich with culture, laughter, and the irresistible aroma of diverse cuisines.

Guests enjoyed a feast of flavours, from Nigerian Jollof rice to Jamaican rice and peas with curry goat, and Caribbean chow mien each dish a tribute to heritage and togetherness.
